25 Nov A Thanksgiving Message to the Families and Business Owners We Serve
As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to pause and share a message that’s at the heart of what we do at Garza Business & Estate Law: gratitude.
This time of year naturally brings us back to the people who matter most:
Our families, our communities, and the relationships that support and shape us.
And as I reflect on the work we do, I’m reminded every day that our clients aren’t simply “cases” or “matters.” They’re families building legacies. They’re business owners who have poured years, often decades, of their lives into creating something that lasts. They’re parents thinking about their children, spouses thinking about each other, and entrepreneurs thinking about the future.
I’m profoundly grateful for the trust so many of you place in us to help protect those legacies.
In my work as a business succession and estate planning attorney, I’m given a rare privilege:
I get to see firsthand the dedication, sacrifice, and love that drive families and business owners to plan ahead.
I get to meet the second-generation daughter stepping into her parents’ company.
The couple who built a thriving family enterprise from nothing.
The business owner who wants to ensure a smooth transition to key employees who helped build the company. The parents thinking carefully about how to pass on not just wealth, but values, responsibility, and stability.
This is meaningful work, and I never take it for granted.
As we gather with our own families this Thanksgiving, around crowded dinner tables, football games in the background, and mountains of leftovers, I hope you find time to enjoy the people who mean the most to you. Ultimately, that’s what all of our planning is about: protecting the people we love and ensuring they’re taken care of, no matter what.
From my family to yours, I wish you a warm, joyful, and restorative Thanksgiving filled with gratitude, connection, and peace of mind.
Thank you for being part of the Garza Law family. It’s an honor to serve you, your businesses, and your legacies.
Happy Thanksgiving.
